Any day now an open source application is going to hit the Apple iTunes Apps Store. Apparently the WordPress for iPhone App is nearly ready to go. It supports WordPress.com blogs as well as self-hosted WordPress.org blogs running version 2.5.1 or newer. 

The Open Source app that lets you write posts, upload photos, and edit your WordPress blog directly from your iPhone or iPod Touch. When the app launches, it will hit the ground running with support for multiple blogs, creating and editing posts, uploading photos from your library or the camera, even privacy settings.

And that’s just what we’re starting with — we’ve got some ideas in the hopper that should make managing your WordPress blog incredibly simple, wherever you are.
